On May 28, RÄNDĀ VO͞O returned to Wellington West for The Right Room, a Signature Business Reception hosted at Parlour and generously supported by Brazeau Seller Law, one of Ottawa’s business law firms supporting business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, and organizations for more than 35 years.
The evening brought together a curated mix of founders, executives, advisors, lawyers, authors, nonprofit leaders, real estate professionals, creatives, consultants, entrepreneurs, and community builders inside one of Wellington West’s most beautifully designed venues.
The premise was simple: place thoughtful people in the right environment and let meaningful conversation do what it does best.
Scenes from the Room
A room built around quality of interaction
RÄNDĀ VO͞O exists for professionals who are building something — a business, a career, a firm, a community initiative, a body of work, or a legacy of impact.
Our rooms are designed to move beyond surface-level networking by creating access to trusted conversations, cross-industry insight, and relationships that can continue long after the evening ends.
At Parlour, that intention was visible in the flow of the room. Guests moved between conversation areas, the bar, the grazing table, the Petite Galerie, and the Lucky Book Publishing pop-up installation. The experience was layered, but not crowded. Professional, but not stiff. Elevated, but still warm.
The room included professionals across law, finance, real estate, construction, nonprofit leadership, publishing, health and wellness, consulting, marketing, business development, wealth management, sport, HR, leadership, technology, design, and entrepreneurship.
It was not a room built around volume. It was a room built around quality of interaction.
Throughout the evening, conversations moved naturally from introductions to ideas, from industry insight to potential collaboration, from shared challenges to future opportunity.

A room that keeps working
Sarah Boyd, author and wellness expert, captured that value after attending her first RÄNDĀ VO͞O event:
“This was my first RÄNDĀ VO͞O Business Network event, but it definitely won’t be my last.”
She shared that she left with more than new connections — she left with future collaborations and new ideas for her business.
That is the standard we aim for. Not just a night out. Not just a room full of people. A room that continues working after the evening ends.
"This was my first RÄNDĀ VO͞O Business Network event, but it definitely won’t be my last."
Culture is part of the conversation
A RÄNDĀ VO͞O room is not only shaped by who attends. It is shaped by how the room feels.
At Parlour, guests were welcomed into an atmosphere supported by live violin ambiance from Maddy, a curated grazing table, warm hospitality, and a Petite Galerie featuring the exquisite artwork of Nadjozna, the artistic name of Nadiia Kushnir — an internationally recognized Ukrainian-born contemporary artist and illustrator based in Ottawa.
Her work brought a distinct cultural layer to the evening: playful, expressive, bold, and quietly profound. Guests had the opportunity to engage with the art, meet the artist, and experience creativity not as decoration, but as part of the room’s conversation.
This matters because business does not happen in a vacuum. It happens through trust, timing, shared experience, and the ability to see people beyond their titles.
Art, music, cuisine, architecture, and thoughtful design help create the conditions for stronger connection. They help people slow down, engage differently, and remember the room.
Ideas in the room
The evening also featured a Lucky Book Publishing pop-up installation, highlighting authors and thought leaders connected to the broader professional and personal development ecosystem.
Guests engaged with books, ideas, and authors, including Sarah Boyd and her work, The Habit Revolution: A Woman’s Guide to Evolving Health, Habits, and Hormones from First Period to Post Menopause.
That installation created a natural bridge between business networking and learning — a reminder that RÄNDĀ VO͞O rooms are not only about who is present, but what knowledge, perspective, and expertise are being introduced into the community.
Strengthening the local ecosystem
RÄNDĀ VO͞O believes that a strong business room should also strengthen the ecosystem around it.
To date, RÄNDĀ VO͞O-supported initiatives have helped give back more than $35,000 to local charities and community causes, including organizations supporting youth, mental health, leadership, and community development.
The platform has also contributed more than a quarter million dollars into the local hospitality, catering, venue, and event economy.
When people attend, sponsor, support, or bring someone into a RÄNDĀ VO͞O room, they are helping support more than one evening. They are contributing to a broader local ecosystem of venues, artists, musicians, chefs, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, professional service firms, and community leaders.
That is why the support of Brazeau Seller Law matters. Their investment in the RÄNDĀ VO͞O Business Network reflects a shared belief in the value of strong professional ecosystems — rooms where entrepreneurs, advisors, leaders, and community builders can meet in meaningful ways.
Together, we rise — empowered by experience, driven by connection, united by community.

What happens after people leave
One of the most meaningful measures of a RÄNDĀ VO͞O event is what happens after people leave the room.
Samantha Moonsammy, CEO and Co-Founder of Lucky Book Publishing, captured the broader purpose of the evening well:
“Events like RÄNDĀ VO͞O Business Network remind us of the importance of creating in-person spaces for business owners in the community to meet community partners, support local charities, and recognize the economic impact these events have on our local hospitality industry.”
She also described the evening as one filled with “no small talk, but real conversations and meaningful moments.”
That distinction is important.
RÄNDĀ VO͞O rooms are designed to create more than introductions. They are designed to create follow-up, ideas, trusted referrals, future collaborations, and momentum.
Jesse Arnold, Founder of Inicio Design, described leaving “genuinely energized,” noting that strong local business communities come down to conversations — and that “most good things start” there.
Nadine Zeinoun, MCC, Master Certified Coach and President of the Ottawa Chapter of ICF, shared that RÄNDĀ VO͞O events are “always so valuable for connection.”
Sarah Boyd described the evening as “phenomenal,” recognizing the powerful group of leaders brought together in the room.
Chantal Krantz, a senior community health leader, called it an amazing event and highlighted the opportunity to meet “lovely and passionate people.”
"Events like RÄNDĀ VO͞O Business Network remind us of the importance of creating in-person spaces for business owners in the community to meet community partners, support local charities, and recognize the economic impact these events have on our local hospitality industry."
The right room still matters
The May 28 reception at Parlour reflected what RÄNDĀ VO͞O continues to build across Ottawa: business experiences that bring together the right people, in the right environment, with the right intention.
For guests, it was an evening of conversation, culture, and connection.
For partners and sponsors, it was a view into a growing professional ecosystem with reach, trust, and community relevance.
For those discovering RÄNDĀ VO͞O for the first time, it was an introduction to a platform built around a simple belief:
The right room still matters. A room where business meets culture. A room where conversation leads to opportunity. A room where relationships, ideas, and impact continue long after the evening ends.
Some rooms create conversations. The right room creates perspective.
Looking Ahead: MÄVVĪNCLASS Returns in September
After the summer holidays, RÄNDĀ VO͞O returns with MÄVVĪNCLASS, our morning leadership forum and professional development experience.
MÄVVĪNCLASS brings together expert speakers, authors, founders, and leaders through dynamic micro-learning sprints inspired by TED-style delivery, followed by peer roundtable discussions and real-time integration of ideas.
Where the evening receptions create space for connection, ambiance, and cross-industry networking, MÄVVĪNCLASS creates space for learning, clarity, and applied professional growth.
Many authors, experts, and thought leaders have taken to the MÄVVĪNCLASS stage to share insights that help professionals lead, build, communicate, and navigate complexity with greater confidence.
