A private tasting. Different perspectives. One curated table.
Four guided olive oil and balsamic pairings. An Ottawa entrepreneur sharing his craft. An intimate gathering of accomplished professionals. And an experience designed around the people brought together.
On October 29, RÄNDĀ VO͞O Prestige closed its 2026 season with The Curated Table, a private guided tasting hosted at Aurelius Fine Oils & Balsamic Vinegars in Ottawa's Glebe.
Generously supported by Brazeau Seller Law, RÄNDĀ VO͞O's Principal Legal Sponsor for 2026, the invitation-only, 18-place experience brought together business principals, professional advisors, entrepreneurs and community leaders from different industries.
There were no conventional networking exercises or formal speeches. Guests explored a distinctive culinary experience, exchanged perspectives and developed conversations naturally.
The tasting created a shared experience. The intentional composition of the room created the professional opportunity.
That combination is central to RÄNDĀ VO͞O Prestige.
A longstanding partnership supporting meaningful professional connections
Strong professional communities are shaped by the people who participate and the organizations that help bring them together.
Brazeau Seller Law has been an important part of RÄNDĀ VO͞O's development, supporting distinctive professional experiences that connect Ottawa's business community.
As Principal Legal Sponsor for 2026, the firm continued that involvement through The Curated Table. Harold Feder and colleagues participated alongside business owners, executives, professional advisors and community leaders.
Their presence reflects an important distinction in the platform's partnership approach.
Corporate partners are not simply represented through event branding. Relevant participation creates opportunities to engage directly with professionals in environments where conversation develops naturally and relationships have room to grow.
The value can also continue beyond the event through original editorial storytelling, professional photography, film and ongoing platform visibility.
Corporate/Commercial Lawyer Julia Gadd of Brazeau Seller Law reflected on the experience in a LinkedIn post:
"It was a pleasure connecting with fellow professionals, sharing great conversation, and discovering some new flavours along the way!"
Her observation captures the balance RÄNDĀ VO͞O works to create: meaningful professional interaction within an experience people genuinely enjoy.
For organizations exploring thoughtful ways to engage professional audiences, the wider RÄNDĀ VO͞O Partnerships platform provides additional opportunities for collaboration.
Inside the private guided tasting at Aurelius
The evening's host, Aurelius Fine Oils & Balsamic Vinegars, offered something more engaging than a conventional venue.
Founder Mike George personally guided guests through an introduction to extra virgin olive oil, sharing his knowledge of quality, flavour and the combinations that make exceptional ingredients memorable.
Through four curated olive oil and balsamic pairings, guests explored different flavours, asked questions and discovered new ways to appreciate products they may have encountered in everyday cooking.
It was interactive, accessible and designed around participation.
The experience also included an elevated selection of charcuterie, fruit, cheese and light dessert, complemented by sparkling wine and a cucumber melon white balsamic sparkling water.
Guests enjoyed a private shopping opportunity and received curated take-home gifts.
The hospitality was thoughtful without being overly formal, allowing the tasting and professional conversations to unfold comfortably together.
The entrepreneur behind the experience
Mike's story adds another dimension to the evening.
His interest in bringing exceptional olive oils to Canadians began while serving in the military, eventually developing through weekend markets and direct customer relationships into an Ottawa retail business.
Since opening his first boutique in Wellington West in 2018, Aurelius has expanded to three Ottawa locations.
Throughout The Curated Table, Mike demonstrated how sharing knowledge, creating memorable customer experiences and building personal relationships can become important parts of a business's identity.
For entrepreneurs and leaders, the evening offered a practical example of how customer experience contributes to a company's differentiation.
We explore his philosophy more deeply in our Intelligence feature, The Aurelius Standard: Why Customer Experience Is a Growth Strategy.
The people in the room define the experience
While the guided tasting brought guests together, the professional composition of the room is what makes RÄNDĀ VO͞O Prestige different.
The Curated Table included business principals, entrepreneurs, experienced advisors and community leaders representing legal services, financial advisory, management consulting, healthcare, construction, landscaping, real estate, information technology, software, commercial design, visual arts and nonprofit leadership.
Those different perspectives are intentional.
Business principals bring experience building companies, leading organizations, managing teams and making growth decisions. Professional advisors contribute specialized knowledge that helps organizations and individuals navigate complex financial, legal, strategic and operational considerations.
Prestige generally limits representation from individual industries, often to one or two professionals from a particular field, while accommodating supporting partners and the needs of each gathering.
The objective isn't exclusivity for its own sake. It's to create a professionally diverse environment where participants have opportunities to learn from people outside their usual circles.
A founder may gain a new perspective from an advisor. An executive may discover common ground with an entrepreneur in an unrelated industry. Two professionals who might rarely cross paths may begin a relationship worth continuing.
Akash from Dharma Developments reflected on the evening by thanking RÄNDĀ VO͞O for "getting me outside my comfort zone."
It's a simple observation, but an important one. Well-designed professional experiences can encourage people to discover something unfamiliar, meet different perspectives and engage beyond their everyday routines.
Why Prestige holds a distinctive place within RÄNDĀ VO͞O
The Curated Table represents one part of a broader professional platform.
RÄNDĀ VO͞O has built a community connecting more than 10,000 professionals and welcomed more than 5,000 attendees across its experiences since relaunching in 2022.
Its programming brings together professional engagement, leadership development, business storytelling and community initiatives through complementary formats.
Signature receptions connect a broader cross-section of professionals through larger business gatherings.
MÄVVĪNCLASS brings leadership insights, experienced speakers and professionally moderated peer conversations into a shared learning environment.
Prestige takes a more intimate approach, emphasizing intentionally composed rooms, distinctive shared experiences and opportunities for deeper conversation.
Those experiences can be culinary, cultural, sporting or hospitality-driven. Guest counts and environments may change, but the attention to professional diversity, thoughtful participation and quality remains consistent.
For participating professionals, these formats create different reasons to engage with the business community.
For commercial partners, they provide opportunities to connect with relevant audiences through experiences designed around professional value rather than conventional promotional exposure.

A creative complement to the evening
Ottawa-based, internationally recognized artist Noémie L. Côté added a creative dimension to The Curated Table by exhibiting several pieces of her work in a petite onsite gallery.
Known for her expressive landscapes and bold use of colour, Noémie displayed her artwork for guests to enjoy as they explored the tasting and engaged in conversation.
Her participation introduced another perspective into the room and offered an opportunity to showcase accomplished Ottawa creative talent alongside business and entrepreneurial leadership.

Beyond the room: Where experiences become part of a larger platform
An individual gathering may last only a few hours, but professional engagement and storytelling can continue long afterward.
The wider RÄNDĀ VO͞O platform connects its live experiences with original media, professional perspectives and opportunities to discover what is happening across the business community.
Through Intelligence, participating entrepreneurs, business leaders and community members can share perspectives and stories that reach beyond the people who attended a particular gathering.
Moments brings these experiences to life through original photography and film, preserving the people, atmosphere and conversations that define the rooms.
Discovery introduces further opportunities for professional participation, while Impact reflects the community contributions and relationships developed through the platform.
Together, these different entry points create a more connected experience for professionals, participating businesses and commercial partners.
For organizations supporting RÄNDĀ VO͞O, this means the opportunity to participate in a broader community story through relevant experiences, meaningful recognition and original content that can continue creating visibility beyond the event itself.
The Curated Table is one example of that approach in action.
The room ends. The relationships continue.
As the evening concluded, guests departed with curated gifts, memories of a distinctive experience and the possibility of professional relationships worth continuing.
Reflecting on the atmosphere, Dalia Feldberg described it as "Not a bad way to spend an evening," adding that she "Had a great time last night."
The photographs and event film capture the visible moments: the guided tasting, hospitality, conversations, creative details and people gathered.
The longer-term value may happen afterward.
A follow-up conversation, a new introduction, a future collaboration or simply a familiar face in another room.
The Curated Table was a fitting close to RÄNDĀ VO͞O's 2026 season and a reflection of what Prestige continues to represent.
The size of the room doesn't define its value. The people, perspectives and experiences within it do.
